Wendell Franks grew up in a beautiful Southern town, Magnolia, Arkansas, where he fell in love with photography as a small-town newspaper reporter and photographer. After college, he moved to Dallas, Texas where, over the next three decades, he photographed weddings and portraits and for a while taught photography at Dallas Baptist College. In 2008, Wendell and his bride Carolyn escaped the heat and stress of the big city for another beautiful Southern town, this time Maryville, Tennessee. Now living in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, Wendell's pursuing his long-time dream of creating wonderful images for the walls of America as a fine art photographer. In the words of one of his heroes, Col. John M. 'Hannibal' Smith, Wendell can finally say 'I love it when a plan comes together.'
