ARTIST STATEMENT: I use photography to convey my life's experience and love for wildlife. The pursuit of my images involves using all of the senses. I stay vigilant to capture rare moments. I never bait any animals and the pursuit is only surpassed by one thing: the acceptance. This is what I live for. Once I have spent enough time with a species, I can start to understand their behavior. This will form an unspoken acceptance from the animals. Only after reaching this flow state will I capture and bring the images
to you.
ARTIST BIOGRAPHY: Spenser Yowell began his early life amongst the wild horses of Wyoming. As a child whose carefree youth was interrupted by an unlikely physical ailment requiring homeschooling, Spenser sought solace in nature throughout his many solitary childhood days. In finding connection to the wild animals around him, he found his purpose: To immortalize the beauty of the spirits that he grew to love so deeply. He hopes the catharsis he experienced then and his personal journey to healing and connection translates now in his adulthood through his lens as a gift he can share with you.
