Studied art at Miami University. Caught a low number in the army lottery so I had to leave school. After I got discharged from the Army I went and got a degree at Wright State University. My first art position was a layout artist for an ad agency in Milwaukee Wisconsin.
I moved back to Ohio to start a printing business, but soon ran out of funds so I got into sales. I did not to any painting for 35 years until a friend asked me if I would paint a portrait of their children.
I gave it my best. It was OK (it was free). So with retirement coming up I thought I would start painting again. I try to use a limited palette. The watercolor "First Snow" was done with two blues and a grey. The painting "Greece sunset" was also painted with only 3 colors.
In my paintings I try to paint a story and mood of what I see.
