I grew up surrounded by stories - my dad would talk about the Wyeth family in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and those conversations planted something in me early. In elementary school, a guidance counselor bought my first painting. I knew then that art was real. After years away from the canvas, my dad’s passing in 2005 brought me back. I applied to art schools, earned my BFA from the University of Delaware, and never looked back. Today I work in mixed media -acrylic, pastel, charcoal, and collage - creating layered, textured work influenced by Richard Diebenkorn, Georgia O’Keeffe, and Jasper Johns. Color is my language. The layers are my story. I’m based in Delaware, continuing to explore, make a mess, and find the unexpected.
