My journey as a photographer is different than most....
I never knew the camera until I was in my 50's and started racing as an athlete....a master's athlete.
I formed a masters elite women's team, got it sponsored and suddenly had to learn both sides of the camera....fast.
Marketing when you are a sponsored athlete is essential and that is your side of the agreement, along with winning races, earning a lot of gold medals and all the stuff athletes need to do....regardless of our age.
Long story short, that's when I purchased my first good camera and I never looked back.
scroll to today ....
I still race on occasion .... however, my real passion now is on the other side of the lens....taking photos ....of everything and of anything.....anything I can get my lens on.
From Polo, portraits and sunsets to wild horses and surfers, racing cars and racing runners ...they all are unique and all have meaning...to someone.
What I realized in my journey with my racing is that we all are so different....there's no recipe in life that we must follow, just our own....and that's the beauty, we are each with our own story, our own dreams, struggles and victories.
....whether it's the young and their innocence of the life to come or the beautiful wrinkles of many years of life already lived...
....the Polo player who the connection between horse and rider can be read with each click of the shutter...
... that wild horse of the west shaking it's head in defiance ...you look at him and you feel his struggle, his power, his fear.
..... the surfer carving one last wave as the sun is setting....does it bring you memories, inspiration or represent the different challenges in your own life.
these things caught in time all bring emotion and feelings to want to relive or know more...to look again and again. It's something or someone that helps you feel.....
I want to bring that vision, my vision of you, of life, of what excites, moves and inspires you...that speaks to you in your world even though it may be their world ... with that one tiny moment in time that was captured forever.
So.... welcome to my vision....and it's an honor to help you create yours.
