Centuries of human myth and folklore depict the natural world as both a place of mystery and danger where dark forces dwell and a place of divine courage, endurance, and renewal. It has also been described as the setting for communication between our world and the “invisible” world.

When I am in nature I try to open myself up to the experience of being between worlds. I ponder how these wild places so vividly affected the imaginations of people that their stories endured for hundreds of years. I stay connected to this shared history by spending time in nature and when seduced by whispers of her curious beauty, transcribe the wonder and emotions stirring within me through photography.
