Christopher Gerhard Trott is a Chicago-based photographer, graphic designer, and photo editor known for his captivating work capturing rural landscapes. His passion for photography dates back to 1990, when he took a black-and-white photography course that left him hooked on the art form. Starting with his mother’s old Minolta 35mm film camera, Chris honed his craft at his local community college’s darkroom, developing his rolls of film and making prints.
Although he enjoyed working with film, Chris’s enthusiasm and creativity skyrocketed in 2004 when he bought his first digital camera. Since then, he has worked with a range of digital SLRs, including Canon and Nikon models. He currently uses a Nikon D800 full-frame digital SLR with four Nikon FX lenses, which has enabled him to capture breathtaking photos of rural landscapes.
Chris is always learning new things and has mastered Adobe Photoshop Creative Cloud for editing his photos. He continues to seek out new photography experiences and intends to explore downtown Chicago again in the future. Chris’s passion for photography shines through in his work, which is available for purchase on his website as wall art or smaller prints.
