Joyful Abstracts, Lisa Joy Newcomb -I create peaceful and healing photographs by abstracting beautiful glass and vibrantly colored fabric into luminous, glowing images. I have also been experimenting with water. I search to create fluid compositions with intense colors to enhance the visceral effect. My intent is to transcend and transform objects into images that visually excite while calming the soul. I meld light, pattern and color so that the viewer can reflect and find their own narrative. This is my invitation for you to slow down and enjoy – to enter a contemplative space of peace and beauty. Each of my photographs can be ordered as small, jewel-like prints or as large dynamic panels. I have been experimenting with images on brushed aluminum, acrylic, epoxy varnished canvases, and especially UV-protected glossy aluminum suitable for indoor or outdoor installation. Single images can morph into multiples arranged in grids or large-scale verticals and horizontals. The possibilities abound.
