Let me tell you a little about myself. I am self taught as an artist. One day while in my early teens I picked up a few tubes of oil paint, a couple brushes and painted my first picture. I kept at it and continued to produce 1 or 2 simple paintings a year into my early 20's. I then met my beautiful wife Bonnie and we proceeded to have 3 children. All painting came to a halt at that time. I wanted to devote my time and energies to hanging with my wife and kids.
Well a few years ago my wife and children surprised me with new art supplies for xmas. New brushes, paints, solvents, canvases, etc. So, what you see within my gallery are the works that I have created in the past few years. I try to paint a few hours a few days a week if possible. I enjoy working on a variety of subjects. Still life's, nudity, portraiture, Abstracts, and my first (and only) watercolor. My 2 favorites are different varieties of abstracts and Nude silhouettes. The majority of my work measures 4" x 4", 5" x 5", 6" x 6", etc. with my favorite size being 5" x 7". A couple exceptions being my watercolor which is 11" x 14" and my oil painting of the Hindu Deities Saraswati which I painted for my wife's yoga studio which measures 36" x 48". I currently work mostly in oils on Museum Quality 1/8" Gesso Board or Clay Board.
