Inspired by the intrinsic beauty, incredible design and complexity found in nature especially color and natural patterns of living things, I love to simply create. Whether it is designing landscapes and gardens, abstract painting, or photographing nature from a distance or up close, that creative process and what it produces resonate deep within my soul and is where my motivation comes from.
Starting with a specific design and color palette intended to achieve an overall end result or feeling, I let each painting begin to speak for itself as it appears on the canvas and guide how I apply the paint and patterns. The painting always lets me know when it is done.
Working out of my studio in Castle Rock Colorado, my focus has been on abstract painting including Jackson Pollock inspired pieces, fluid acrylics and photographs from my gardens and anywhere interesting.
