India Blake Johnson is an award-winning photographer and writer. India’s photographs have been shown in galleries in the United States and Europe.
Ms. Blake’s work has been published in Currents magazine and has received awards from the International Loupe Awards, Windland Awards, Umbra Awards and the New Jersey Federation of Camera Clubs.
Ms. Blake published her book, "Before The Curtain Goes Up" with Newman Springs Publishing in 2019. "Before The Curtain Goes Up," is a photographic journey behind the scenes of small-town theaters that explores the transformation from actor to character. Her second book, "Captured," was republished in 2020. "Captured" is a combined effort of her talents in photography and poetry, earning the Indie Excellence Award, Reader’s Digest Critics’ Pick and has received praise from Joy Williams, Joyce Carol Oates and Kirkus Reviews.
