SUR CETTE OEUVRE: BEAN FIELD
Sometimes the simplest of subjects can reveal a very captivating image. The ability to view the world from different perspectives can be truly eye opening. I was out roaming around looking for a willing subject to become the central theme for what I hoped would become a memorable image. I happened upon this small but well maintained soybean field close to the St. Croix river that seemed to offer the necessary components to fit the bill. The purely organic shape of the bean plants, the natural contrast of the lush green plants and the rich brown soil they had pushed through combined with the mechanical perfection of the straight rows came together to form a simple but captivating scene. I hope you enjoy it as much as I have.
