Hello, I'm Eric Franks and I'm glad you're taking the time to view my portrait galleries. I was born and raised in Glasgow, Scotland and although I’ve lived in the United States for many years, I do still have a Scottish accent. I got a camera for my 10th birthday and have been clicking shutters ever since. After more than three decades in the information systems industry, I retired from the high-tech world and turned my photography hobby into a business. One of the best decisions of my life. I now get to do what I really enjoy - photographing people. In addition to portraiture, I have photographed events, travel locations, real estate, products, and fine art. I have a sizable stock photo library and many of those images have appeared in European magazines and newspapers. The Wasatch Range or Wasatch Mountains is a mountain range in the western United States that runs about 160 miles from the Utah-Idaho border south to central Utah. In the language of the native Ute people, Wasatch means "mountain pass" or "low pass over high range." The mountains were named for a Shoshoni leader who was named with the Shoshoni term wasattsi, meaning "blue heron".
