My favorite time of day at the Peaks of Otter off the Blue Ridge Parkway has to be sunset. Any tourists are gone. Then we can relax looking at the gorgeous scenery, Sharp Top Mountain reflected in Abbott Lake. The golden colors of the setting sun reflecting off the trees turning the pale green emerging leaves into golden hues. The cares of the world seem to disappear just sitting beside the lake watching the deer coming out from hiding to graze by the lake. Soon we will be seeing the new baby fawns with their mothers.
