ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: A COWBOYS TREASURE
This 36 x 48-inch oil painting is a tribute to my husband to remember his active cowboy days. The black hat is his favorite. The saddle he has used for over fifty years, the rifle was a gift from his father. The lariat rope is one that he had used. The snaffle bit bridle is the one that he used for most horses. The horsehair belt and silver buckle are his. I placed all the items on top of a wool woven rug. I painted picture using the Zorn limited palette of only four colors, red, white, yellow ocher, and black.
