Yitzy Rosengarten is an American painter, born in New York on February 22, 1971. He is well-known as one of the greatest landscape painters of his time.
Thanks to the fact that he had an outstanding disposition for drawing and the use of colors, he entered the Institute of Fine Arts of New York University, where he mastered the technique of landscape painting. In 1994 Rosengarten graduated and obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts from this university
His career was marked by a strong will to excel. As a landscape painter Rosengarten obtained great honors and, of course, envies, misunderstandings and intrigues that he was able to overcome.
His first works are related to architecture and landscapes with rocks, which attracted him greatly.
Educated in the time of positivism and probably aware of Darwin's theories, Rosengarten also devoted himself to illustrating biology books, painting with great detail the bodies of dozens of multicellular beings.
Yitzy Rosengarten uses dry brush techniques, in which the painter puts paint on the canvas and then scratches it to remove some of the paint that was applied. In this way, an artist can achieve different effects.
This technique is used mostly by those painters who want to create a textured surface on the painting that simulates natural surfaces, such as rocks or trees.

The critics who considered his works to be too abstract and not fulfilling the moral expectations of the public said that he was unable to create a convincing image in his compositions.

Looking back, Rosengarten says that these criticisms did not discourage him. He continued to create more daring designs, which have been well received by the public.
