I´m 45 years old and i´ve been illustrating professionaly for about 20 years now. Since 1992, I've created illustrations, greeting cards, designed posters, worked on comic books, illustrated board games, designed websites and even did a lot of software design creating visual content and layouts for hospitality software among many other areas. That and a lot of generic graphic design. If you need an illustrator or children book artist, I'm skilled in watercolors, acrylics, color pencils, etc but at the moment i do most of my work in digital. I work in digital, traditional or sometimes a mix of both techniques. In my galleries you´ll find a lot of children book illustrations that were started in traditional watercolor but were later mixed within photoshop or any other digital painting tool. I don´t like to get stuck on using just one thing or technique and I go where the client needs me to go to achieve an image that we both like in the end. That is what´s important. A good illustration. How we get there it really does not matter.

One of my favorite things in concept art, is to take popular themes and give them my own spin to create my own alternate versions. In this case my idea was to pick 20.000 Leagues Under the Sea by Jules Verne and make the Nautilus be discovered today by some scubadivers lost among some underwater reefs near the shore. So this is my Nautilus submarine version for that story and it´s another good example of the type of underwater settings I like to paint. Underwater reefs, divers, ocean, steampunk themes, and fantasy landscapes rolled into one single science fiction illustration.
