ABOUT THIS ARTWORK: COVERED BRIDGE PARK WINTER GREENWAY
A winter scene shot at Covered Bridge Park in South Whitehall Township in Pennsylvania. The Jordan Creek Greenway boardwalk is our foreground element in the image featuring Wehr's Covered Bridge. Winter Storm Kenan dropped a couple inches of snow in the Lehigh Valley, providing for good wintertime photography around the area. The subtle beginnings of the day's sunrise can be seen along the horizon. The Jordan Creek, with a layer of ice and now flows over Wehr's Dam and continues under the covered bridge. Wehr's Covered Bridge was built in 1841 and lies along Wehr's Mill Road. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and the bridge continues to carry small vehicles across the Jordan Creek to this date, with weight and height restrictions. During the holidays, the bridge is decorated with Christmas lights and decorations, which I have images available as well!
