Now living in the small but quaint Acadian fishing village of Cheticamp, Nova Scotia, my passions include pretty well everything from A-Z, florals, landscapes/seascapes to wildlife and more. The old pier at la Bloc sits at the mercy of the elements. Easily seen from the Cabot Trail, it once served the small Acadian fishing community of over 30 families that lived off the sea prior to the creation of the Cape Breton Highlands National Park. Most of the families were resettled in the surrounding villages such as Pleasant Bay and Cheticamp. The old cement pier now crumbling from decades of surf and weather actions.
